    This photograph of the East Garden, or Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, was taken by William Phillips in 2007. It features holly osmathus hedges, square flower beds, and American holly trees framing the grassy center lawn. The botanical composition of the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden changes with each administration. Where the Rose Garden is centered on roses, the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden is centered on the personal tastes of the current administration. Annual spring and fall garden tours allow the public to watch the garden evolve.
